WEEK 15
Through the A02 check-up, I want to ask the questions I have and receive feedback from both my lecturers and target audience on what needs improvement. This will help ensure that my motion graphic is not only effective and aligned with my target audience, but also communicates the message clearly. Additionally, I hope to enhance my portfolio for my internship applications next year by refining my skills and creating a stronger, more impactful project.

Test Print Pboard
I feel that the text is large enough and readable from a distance, but the characters aren’t as visible from far away. To improve this, I need to increase the size of the characters so that they stand out more clearly. This will ensure that the design remains legible and impactful, even when viewed from a distance. Making the characters more prominent will also help draw attention to the key visuals and enhance the overall Pboard.

Feedback
When the character opened the eyes, I realised that I need to slow down the movement to create a clear contrast from before the character closed its eyes, making it feel more distinct. I realised that using fewer rigid shapes might be more effective in maintaining flow and balance.
Additionally, I noticed that the glow effect was not visible enough and I need to make it more visible, which helped enhance the visual appeal.
The title on the PBoard didn’t stand out as much as I intended, and the main character wasn’t large enough to capture attention.
Moving forward, I’ll focus on making these elements more prominent to improve readability and visual impact.

MoGraph #4
Before, the texts feel so stiff, so I started by animating the opacity from small to large to create a smoother introduction, giving it a more seamless feel. For the text, I used the liquify effect (mesh warp) to make it less stiff and more in line with the fluid motion of the blobs, which adds to the morphing effect.

Previously, the rigid shapes were too fast and it supposed to be different between before and after the character breathe, so I reduced the number of rigid shapes and slowed their movement to create a clear distinction between the 'breathing' phase and the more structured motion that follows.

Lastly, I increased the glow effect to make it more vibrant since the previous glow was not visible enough, ensuring the glowing elements stand out and catch the viewer's attention. Also, I changed the colour to cyan to make it more sense since the shape is cyan.

Pboard #3
Previously, the title and character weren’t emphasised enough, and the character was too small to be visible from a distance.
To improve this, I removed the circle around the title and made it larger, freeing up space for a bigger character. This helped improve the overall visibility and made the character stand out more. I also repositioned the title to the left, followed by the synopsis and name beneath it, creating a clearer structure. Additionally, I enlarged the rigid shapes to better frame the text, ensuring everything was legible and visually balanced.

Reflection
I’ve come to realise how important it is to pay attention to even the smallest details in my work. It’s not just about making things look polished, but ensuring that every element is meaningful and serves a purpose. As I focus more on the finer aspects, I see how they tie everything together, creating a stronger connection to the message and emotions I want to express. This process has taught me that each decision, no matter how small, contributes to the overall impact of the animation. By truly understanding and refining these details, I can create something more intentional and powerful, allowing my audience to feel and understand exactly what I want to communicate.
